Meet me in New York part 1

Concrete jungle, multi-faceted, America, the big apple.
I'm always in awe of New York City and its colorful charm. I have visited this city a few times and each time I'm there, I experience something new and exciting.
I would love to share with you my recent adventures in the city that never sleeps!
WHERE TO STAY
Every time I take a trip to the city we stay in New Jersey and take a bus into Times Square. If you have the extra $$$$ to spend on a hotel in the city, I definitely recommend you do, but this time around we saved hundreds by staying just 20 minutes South of the city.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Meadowlands Area Hotel in Carlstadt, New Jersey.

WHERE TO PLAY

So, when it comes to New York City, you are spoiled with thousands of choices on where to eat, famous attractions and obviously there's the shopping. We stayed for 3 nights and 4 days.

Thursday: We hit up Times Square, Central Park and ended the day at the Rockefeller Center

Friday: In the morning we went to visit One World Observatory. Unfortunately it was so cloudy that day that we could not see the skyline of the city, so it was very upsetting. There will always be next time for blue skies and jaw dropping sights.

In the Afternoon we walked 5th avenue and visited Soho and had lunch at The Spotted Pig in the West Village.

In the evening we spent our time at the beautiful 9/11 memorial and museum

An absolutely incredible and life changing experience! If you are ever in the city of New York, please I hope you would take an afternoon or an evening spent at this humbling museum.

Saturday: The second to last day of our trip, we took a drive over to The Hamptons.

The weather was pretty breezy that day and a bit cloudy. We hit up some shops in East Hamptons and finished the day at the beach.

Sunday: Sunday was our last day in NYC. We walked to the Empire State Building and took in some sights before we headed back home.

And there you have it! You will always find so much going on in New York. It is a refreshing change of scenery and lifestyle.

Check out, "Meet me in New York part 2" for an in depth view on the collection!
